| | - Portland, OR By mixing the elements of americana, rock, and funk, The Chapman Swifts have taken their Pacific Northwest roots and created a groove-drenched, hook laden sound that is steeped in rhythmic foundations. Formed in 2004, they quickly brandished a style that has been often compared to (vocally) Fleetwood Mac,10,000 Maniacs, and (musically) SRV, Willie Nelson, and even a touch of Sabbath. In 2007's self titled full length debut each musician has brought their separate influences together to create an original, cohesive body of work. The result? A delicious array of aural assaults waft to the ears with pleasing results. With a lymon twist, they are not to be missed! More > |
